What area of france are you looking for?

Materials used will vary between regions, climates and soil conditions.

Urban areas usually use brickwalls (some with iron grilles) while rural areas use wooden fences (or none at all).

Hope this helps.

Airbrush-wood's not very plentiful in France-in 1944 there was a lot of stone construction, brick and some stucco! A lot of cobblestone pavers too!

I guess I should have clarified, It would be the ardennes or the rural areas of Bastoung. I will use wood if I have to but I really wanted my tank to have driven through a brick wall. OOOO idea idea. It will have driven over a brick wall with a Machinegun nest set up and the machine gunners will be yelling at the tankers... watcha think????

a tank drove over a machine gun nest, and the machine gunners are pissed, but I think I will do a different dio, and do that one in a larger scale like 1/35 instead of 1/72

Kalmbach 2nd edition "How to build Diorama's" Shows a step by step of a burnt out T-34/76 and Germans are using it as a machine gun nest. It looks really cool.

just to clarify things, Bastogne is in Belgium. I wouldn't know what was used for sure but I would imagine stone and brick would be plentiful.
