HVH,
You're pretty funny with your River Kwai clip.
"My God, what have I done?
This one is just begging to be blown up:
I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
Actually, it's called "Wood bridge, ceramic" and looks like it's by Costom Dioramics, USA, Squadron number CD0145, it's on sale for $17.98. It's a timber and wood bridge, rustic looking, but not logs.
Hope it's of some help,
Bill
Let's see if this works. This is a pic of a log bridge that someone built, and I bought it on eBay. Haven't recieved it yet, so I don't know if it's as good as it looks. But I think it's a pretty good reference for how a log bridge could be built. Don't know about specifically Eastern Front etc, though.

Google Image is your friend... Check a few pages to get the general idea and layout...
For material in 1/35th, I'd recommend using some wood skewers... You can buy about 100 for about a dollar at the grocery store.. Bamboo's ok too if ya can't find wood ones.. Also, square chopsticks make pretty fair bridge timbers...
1:34?? are you sure you dont mean 1:35?? as far as your bridge...are you looking for cut logs (im not familiar with russian bridges) or "skinned" logs? verlinden makes some 1/35 bridges...dont remember if they're logged or not. you could always go outside and collect some sticks from trees and make one yourself. just a thought. perhaps someone else with more knowledge will "chime" in. you could also use styrene (round) and "scribe" wooded lines to simulate bark in it.
1/34th scale. winter 1944,eastern front.
