Hi INDY, a very nice job AGAIN . What did You use for the groundwork, was it the filler You wrote about before? Did You put something under the fibres (those are glass fibres, aren't they)? I like the vignette a lot, reminds me of an idea I once had, but never executed. Anyhow, keep them coming, good luck modelling and have a nice day

Manny ~ Much appreciated. Groundwork scultped out of that same stuff you ask me about on the foundation of the ruins for "In Russian Hands"

--and then painting with a base of Tamiya, washes of Floquil, and dry brushed with artist acylics

CJ ~ yes Sir ~ You got it  ~ Imagination, styrene, a fine metal figure, and about 100 other things on my shelf ! including 5 different glues, dozens of paints,steel,brass,wood,resin,ect,ect,ect

Pawel ~ Very kind again ~ Thank you ~ No fiber--metal armature (it's a mini-extruded metal sheet made for use as an a support for sculpture)handy stuff,easy to cut, work, build with:

 And yes,I did make some suports under it from some junk at hand( some casting blocks from resin parts and some foamcore cut-offs) I attached the wire mesh with the wife's hot glue gun(yes hot glue is actually handy once in a while)being careful not to touch the hot tip to my styrene walls(already in place)

 Some test fitting was done before I was ready to add the groundwork on top of it:

Adam I as you know am looking through your previous Diorama posts that you had completed before I joined this Forum.  They are amazing and I am really surprised about the lack of support and acknowledgment of all the artistic thought and actual work that obviously went into this.

Superb job buddy absolutely superb!  I will have to try out that wood filler it is probably a lot cheaper than Apoxy Sculpt!   I cannot stand working with Celluclay!  I prefer something more workable and less messy that doesn't shrink or warp the wood that it is on.   Not to say that there are not examples of guys being successful with that medium.  I am just not one of them and prefer the work time and final results of Apoxy Sculpt but the expense is significant on a larger base.

 Again great ideal and awesome execution!    I know giving birth to these ideals can be a painful drawn out process or a flurry of wonderful energy that is difficult to explain.  I would love to see this in person someday!!

Adam, I too have looked at a lot of your work and all of it is JAW DROPPING! plain and simple.  The ones that nit pick about it are ones that cannot do the work you do.  let them nit pick, just shows the type of people they are.  I look at it this way "if they dont like it, dont look at it"  another comes to mind "If a person has nothing nice to say, they should say nothing"  Thats my 2 cents and your work is worthy of its own book on the subject of dio making.

Very nice layout and painting! What catches my eyes is the second image. It shows the guy in an un-ergonomic position. Before long he may have backache. ;-)

So thats what catches your eye? Because warfare is so comfortable? At least I built it myself.
