Sign post appearance - France 1944
Posted by madmike on Friday, August 28, 2009 12:58 AM

As part of an annual Matchbox Madness GB, I am building the old 1:76 Chaffee pretty much OOB.

As part of the kits supplied dorama base, there is a twin posted location guide sign that I am not so sure about the next step. Would it be weathered natural wood under the placard or a white painted colour, weathered back to natural wood in places? The sign itself is suplied as a decal.

The build is not complicated or uber detailed, but I do want to get the "effect" right

Suggestions please!

Cheers and thanks

Mike

If they are continental road signs look at these from France

However, if they are military..eg unit or divisional then they would be mostly written on bits of wood scrounged or liberated for the job...so pretty basic!
