1/32 F6F to big for dio

Scale isn't really an issue.  The issue is whether or not you can find a place to display it.  If you have the space to set a 1/32 scale dio of a Hellcat in, why not go with that scale?  If you can display a dio that's sitting on a 24" X 28" base, make it so... If not, then you may be stuck with the smaller scale...

I think a 1/32 dio is a great idea, I am thinking about going all out on a P-47 I won with a WW2 flight tower and a nearby ac parked.

Landing as a scenario, though, presents some size problems, because the things that you mention, like topled trees, etc, would be pretty far away from a landing area, or it would ceast to be a landing area.  It might work, but I think the base would have to be pretty big.

Let us know, maybe MS paint out the proposed items, others who have done dios can chime in.

I think it would help to know what your idea is before giving any input. Is your idea of a dio a base and a figure or two or are you tellng a story? It the palne to be on a flight deck, hangar deck or airfield? Are you planning to replicate a specific photograph of to something representative of hte aircraft in general?

How long is a piece of string?

Do the dio that feels right to you. There is no wrong choice.

Nay!  Go small, to add more stuff around the main subject and give it a feeling of really being there.  My two cents
