Cobblestone sizes will vary.

Have a look at the Tamiya Diorama Material sheets, they are I think designed for 1/35 scale.

I know there are two different (at least) sizes of bricks here in Finland. The thing is that I don´t know if the modern standard size of bricks is the same as in 1944. I would bet it isn´t.

An American brick, (I don't know about European ones) measures; 8 7/8ths x 3 3/8ths x 2 1/2. That would be roughly; .25 x .1 x .078 of an inch in 1/35th. A 8 3/4inch cobblestone, just as an average, would be a clean 1/4 of an inch in 1/35th.
