Thanks for your kind words and for bringing back this thread, Subhuman1! As far as I know, "Art Instructor" who built this diorama used fine salt, baking soda and a fogger (hand-held water sprayer used in cloth ironing) to simulate snow.
Noticed that this is your first post here, I'd like to say "Welcome on board!"

Nice work on the Dio! it really does have that cool winter feel to it as was said earlier in the thread. If you don't mind my asking, how did you accomplish the snow effect?
Thanks for your admiration, bsoder!
Mab I had to go put on a coat!!..magnificent dio
Thanks so much for all kind compliments! I really appreciate them!
Agentg has good points, they have been noted. Thanks!
I'll present another new page in a few hours, but there'll be no diorama, just armors and figure. I give myself and "Art Instructor" a little break.
agentg #1. I wouldn't have put "snow" on the rear deck nor the muffler. Engine heat would have kept these areas clear. In this cold weather they wouldn't have shut the engine down for long if at all.

Indeed, I didn't think of this for a Jagdpanther I just finished in a winter scheme. I put some snow on the engine deck. Good point. Learn something new every day...

COLD MAN!!
I must say MM, this is one of AI's better works in terms of composition. It all fits not too bad at all. And that snow effect looks good too. The bleak coloured background helps portray the cold. Good choice of background colour by AI.
I got a chill just looking at the pics

WOW!! I love it! I love the work you did with the snow, especially on the tracks, damn fine work.
