Bronto thanks, yeah I wasn't sure on the date, the boxtop says it's a 67B but I think the little blurb Tamiya gives you about the history of the vehicle uses the "in service" date of the regular 67. Not sure if they made a 67 and labeled the box wrong or if they gave the wrong date in the vehicle history at this point as I don't know enough about either variant or the differences.
haha I'm working on it Will, but at this point that's litterally what I'm doing, just throwing it on
Thanks for the link Indy- I guess my main problem is getting it to stand upright, I'll try superglue next I'm just worried I'll have to go back into it with groundwork color and paint over the superglue marks to cut the shine down. Final weathering and detail painting will follow the grass, want to get a feel for the dio and the overall muddiness before I start to dirty things up. As for the extra soldier and the position on the base, I think I'll go ahead and leave it as is just because this is almost how the three figures and the jeep are set up on the original box art (this was back when Tamiya gave you everything you needed to make a nice little scene in one box).
Hey thanks Boomer- I'm sure you'll do yours proud when you get around to it. It is an oldy but it is somewhat readily available and not too expensive either if I recall correctly. The only real modification I made to it was adding the cover to the roof with tissue paper and a little masking tape for the tie down straps.
I'll take some better pictures when it stops raining, the problem was a reaal long exposure as I didn't want to use the flash and wash everything out. I'm not a big fan of indoor photography, but I have a tripod, just wanted to get something posted as it's been far too long since the last one.
Thanks for the comments and tips guys! Should have some more to show you soon
