After 9/11, I was inspired to depict what soldiers have to endure. I bought all the supplies for a diorama, then lost interest when 2 minor pieces weren't included in the kits. Well now i want to start it up again. [Lofty dreams of using it to present myself as a commission model maker].
The good part.... My scene is an extremely snowy gully with a German Panzer Werfer captured by the Russians and being serviced for use by Russian soldiers and technicians. A Russian armored car has just pulled up to the scene. For detail I want to include lots of oil drums, rifles and supplies on and under tarps, a makeshift canopy of white netting to camo the work area, burnt firewood for warmth and cooking, and lots of snowy pine trees, shrubs and deadfall. Am I rewriting history or does this all sound plausible? Add'l ideas welcome.
