I Need Wrought Iron
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, May 9, 2010 8:16 PM

I have a diorama I am working on, and I need about 24" of wrought iron fence. I searched here and google'd to no avail, does anyone know where I can find this..I suppose I could scratch build a wooden fence, but I would really like to have wrought iron. I am looking for 1/35 scale. Thanks as always.

Check the Model Railroading catalogues for #1 Gauge/G-Scale structure stuff... It's actually about 1/32 scale but that's close enough..

N Scale is WAY too small for 1/35th scale... It's roughly 1/144th scale....  That means that 6-foot fence would be about a quarter-inch high..

Hey brutus, this may help. The items are from VLS Techstar.  I remember seeing these a while back. The wrought iron items are pretty cool. This link is for Firestorm Models who is an Aussie dealer. He does good prices and does ship overseas too. Not sure of the length of the wrought iron fencing but you could just email David and ask. He would be only too obliging to to help. I have bought from him before and service is good. I have ordered items from overseas through him and had no trouble. He actually went to a lot of effort to get what i wanted.

Here is the link to the VLS Techstar items page at Firestorm......

Glad to help.....Smile

You may be able to find a dealer in the US. It may be less trouble in ordering. I'll leave that to you to decide..Wink
