                        Yep been there done that, only i was using red! the paint splashed on the desk, floor, my jeans LOL it looked like a terrible accident!
                        Man these blades are sharp....... Where's this red stuff coming from????

                        Sorry to hear , Ive never had that happen to me , but I will recommend one thing , if you will be replacing the carpet keep a small section of it (5ft X 5ft) to use under your hobby area , to catch spills and maybe place it upside down to help rolling if your chair has casters on it , plus if you drop a peice you can pick it up and shake it out

                        Hey, y'know, it won't make a bit of difference if you cover the carpet. The next time you drop something, it will miss, or roll onto it, sticky side down..

                        Either that or you hit the wallpaper or ceiling..

                        I doubt it became carbonated, but it certainly shocked me and the dog. and my parents bout had a heartattack when they saw the carpet, but hey I've already burned it, spilled mineral spirits on it, the dog has left some presents, the cat has too, mud is caked in there, an a whole lot of other crap. we will be replacing the carpet soon lol. and my paint shaker is a hand masager, I strap it to my hand, take the paint bottle (always with a tight lid) and flip the thing into highgear! works great.

                        Check below for the tool that I use to mix paints:


                        Mine actually is blue/yellow since it is made/issued by WAVE over here in Japan, runs of 2 batteries in the handle and works like a charm.

                        The one in the picture is made by Badger and I used one till it broke and luckily 1yr later Wave issued the same thing locally.

                        In my eyes a worthwhile investment , no need for shaking paints or similar.

                        Nope, at the moment my working space is right next to the following equipment:
                        PC (Main pc that is, notebooks are tucked away)
                        LAN router
                        ALPS printer
                        Flatbed scanner

                        NO WAY, that I will try that.
                        It is bad enough when I have to sneeze while applying the chroming powder to a Kit or similar, that stuff goes everywhere.

                        In fact I can't think of anything in any paint that woud cause it to become carbonated.
                        That's a new one on me.

                        Good luck with your mom and dad. Might I suggest you spring for the carpet cleaning? Maybe that will soften the pain a bit.

                        not sure where to put this, so I will put it where I was using the paint for when this happened. alright I was paint a building from a 1/72 kit I got, to use in a dio... when I opened the tamiya flat black ever so slightly and getting sidetracked I came back and shook it once before realizing it was open, when I closed it and shook it up good, then when I opened it The paint acted like a shacken soda [:0] lol and literally exploded on me and all my stuff and fizzed out of the paint bottle Laugh [(-D] ... so now I am in deep trouble with mother and father and to boot, I am out of flat black. Has this honestly happened to anyone else besides me??? even if this is off topic I would like to know what happened???
