How does he build that good with those long fingernails and evil look?

Looking at the quality of his work I imagine they command a hefty price$$$

Cranking out 1 / month is very impressive as well. This must be a full time gig for him.

 I guess  Being right in the shop with Mr Verlinden & Mr. Letterman he had to step up the game --and did.

You say he's your Buddy, Manny? Is he still modelling? Whats in the works?

Yeah, I met him at the very first Mastercon in St Louis in 1991...he is a class act and as nice a guy as you'd ever meet...he's the least pretentious of the old "masters" I've ever met...I've maintained a friendship with him over the years and he taught me a lot of what I know when it comes to figure-painting.  He is currently cranking out about one of those BIG dios every month for a collector...he still stays in touch with Letterman and Verlinden.  In fact, Verlinden took all the pics I scanned and posted.  I spoke to him last week and he is finishing up a 35th scale dio of a crashed B-25...he made the plane from a vaccum-formed mold! He consults with me from time-to-time for historical info, as he is more the builder than the historian...a really nice guy...

Thanks for posting these. Pruneau has a great sense of drama and composition and most importantly the craft to back up his vision. Impressive stuff.

All of these were done for a wealthy collector in South America...

Those are some goodlooking dios.

captfue- If he used Enviro-Tex it makes the reflections naturally.

Real nice work. I'd like to know how he got the reflections in the water of the armour dio?

All are amazing. 

I especially dig the graveyard, beats the hell out of the standard, overplayed building in ruins.

Lewis Pruneau is one of my favorite dio builders especially in the days when he teamed up with Verlinden and Letterman to build those gigantic dio masterpieces. I used to collect all their books and magazines. I've not seen these and glad you have shared them with us. I particularly like the Japanese carrier deck dio.
