For the tools and such you need, contact Scale Equipment . They male all sorts of stuff in 1/25th. Also Curbsides Dioramas makes a lot of tools, and accessories.

Well I guess I will make my own. I was going to make it look like the plane was parked for maint. needed 2 guys to be doing engine work and 2 guys to be loading ammo on the air craft with a couple of pilots looking on. The kit came with 3 piolets so 2 of the 6 I have. The tools abd drums I figured I can find in the auto kit sections, lots of 1/24 kits there. Did happen to find some female 1/24 figures I may just make them the maint guys working on the engine. May just make it look better anyhow Big Smile [:D]

Hi Skip
You may have to beat up some civilian figures to get what you're after. Some of the Fujimi and Hasagawa mechanic sets might serve as ground crew. Years ago Tamiya produced a line of 1/25th scale military figures and there are a few figures included in their 1/25th scale tank kits.
As for oil drums and tools the fujimi and MRC garage and tool kits include them.
UI build 1/25 &1/24 scale automotive dioramas and have a hard time finding sutable figures. I've been hoping that when the 1/24th scale planes showed up they would bring along a bunch of figures with them that I could convert to civilian use. But that hasn't happened yet.
Good luck

Hey all

Anyone know of a good sorce for 1/24 scale aircraft ground crews and
extras such as oil drums, tools, and odds and ends? This is for a military WWII scene.

Thanks ahead of time for any help.
