WWII What If Group Build?
Posted by smeagol the vile on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 2:05 PM

Im working on a project now, haven't posted pics yet, but its coming along well, thing is its a 'what if' scenario based around the American revolution not succeeding, America not becoming a nation and the north American continent staying broken up.  Specifically the Diorama is a Sioux Special Forces soldier taking out a German MG42 nest in the St. Louis region, Lakota territory taken from the french in the 1800s.

That being said I have seen alot of people building 'What If' projects and Dioramas recently so I decided to see if anyone wants to do a group build based around 'What If' scenerios of WWII

anyone game?

I like the Idea,

It will give way to creative ideas on what Uniforms of people on the north american continent would look like what equipment would be used by americans and natives since the rise of industrial america would not have taken place the way it did in the late 18  and early 1900's

I might be. Depends on when it kicks off. Think it might could be fun to riff off Harry Turtledove's series where the Confederates win the Civil War and history moves up through an alternate World War II.

I have never been one for really rigid timelines and such, so start whenever you want if you want in, but lets set an end date by... the end of the year?

Also not saying you have to use the alternate history I am using, just any you choose.

I'm going to have to bow out then...I'm definitely stacked up through the end of the year (and probably through next spring!)

Well, maybe 3 months is alittle too short.

I just think these what ifs are interesting and want to see what other do with them so, who cares about an end date

with no end date I will definetly be thinking up a what if scenario and hopefully be able to implement it into some sort of diorama.... who knows when though college eats up most if not all modelling time

so understood Skaggs thats why I hate strict time lines.  Plus, what ifs take a while to think up if you want the backstory to be viable, I really thought mine out
