Looks good, particularly the paint and weathering. The wheels are annoying me - they're make it look as if it's hovering, wither they need some flats or they need to be embedded in the base a little to give the vehicle the impression of weight...

Thanks for your kind comments and suggestions, si.threadhead! I'll pass on to my builder. But right now I'm giving him a break. Next page there'll be only armors, no diorama for him for a while.

My only question is about the color of the camouflage - seems odd for Europe in 1944, but then I'm not a track toad.

Well, I have no idea about the camo color and I'm not serious about it. It's all history. Anyone wants to become history? There're some people here who care so much about historical accuracies. It's a pity that their compatriots, especially their leaders, have never learned anything from history! They keep doing the same silly mistake on and on!

Nice....

MM, you say that Art Instructor did the vehicle and figures....did you do the set?  All-in-all, very nice.

No, for everything MM posts one of his 'builders' builds them and he buys them.

He gets alot of flak on the forum for that and he deserves alot of it because he really doesn't seem to pass the critiques and comments to his builders, just posting stuff here for 'ataboys'

And if he does... well that just means his builders either dont care or cant get better which doesnt seem right

Ummm, we all know that Smeagol. And, it's always interesting to see what the real experts notice, but I think this one looks pretty darn good.

Thanks so much for your kind comment on the dio, bondoman!

Thanks, hutchdh! It was "Art Instructor" who built everything for the set. I just gave him the vehicle and figure to build into a diorama. I'm not 'buying" what he made, I assign works for him usually 6-7 pieces at a time in an never-ending manner. 10 years on now!

 Model Maniac:
I found out later that day that my SLR camera still works fine, I didn't know why it didn't work earlier that day.

Hey MM,

Check your camera's batteries. Many of the "old school" SLR's with electronic metering will lock the shutter/mirror when there's insufficient battery power. Sometimes, a few minutes "recovery" time is sufficient to allow the voltage to return to a (temporarily) usable level.

Hi Phil,

You're very right! That day the batteries (AAx2) inside the camera ran out and I replaced them with new ones. I should have waited a little bit more for the camera and internal memory to reset itself. Anyway, I've found that digital photography is convenient , fast and economical. It takes much shorter "time to market". If I take pictures using SLR today (Friday afternoon), I'll have to wait until Monday to send film for processing near my office and Tuesday to fetch it back. It'll be Tuesday evening that I can show my new page. With digital camera, I can show it right now. That's 4 days earlier!

Before you judge someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. After that, who cares? They're a mile away and you've got their shoes!

Thanks so much for your kind compliments, BaBill212! I found out later that day that my SLR camera still works fine, I didn't know why it didn't work earlier that day. But I think maybe it's about time I phase out my SLR camera. Next time I'll try to tackle the DOF issues by setting my digital camera to manual mode, to use "time exposure" technique the same as I did with my SLR.

Thanks for your support!

Nicely done. Once you become more comfortable with your digital cam you'll work out the DOF issues.

The build is nice........

Thanks for sharing

Enjoy the ride!

I was forced to switch to digital camera (reason stated in my new page), so you get to see more pictures.

Diorama "Europe 1944" using Italeri's Armoured Car Sd.Kfz.234/3 and a Dragon's figure set - by "Art Instructor":
