What were the oldest Iraqi armor found during OIF? I would think you could base a dio based on the Iran/Iraq war period. I don't really know what you could use for figures though?

I picked up the Tamiya T-55 at AAA in Atlanta last summer on sale, just for grins. Nice kit. Next thing I knew it was done. RATS! Now I want to integrate it into the Dio and I'm afraid I'm going to have to do a "little work" on it to give it that wrecked personality. Ok, lets see, soldering iron, Dremmel Tool, razor saw, ......time for fun!

Hi there

Hey u could always b different and make a border war dio. Lots of T-55's and 34's 4 that fact. U could do 1 in the African bush if u r looking 4 something out of the norm. I have yrt 2 c a Border War dio. Hope this helps a bit.

Have you seen the movie "The Beast"?

Check the IMDB listing: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094716/.

If that doesn't fire T-54/T-55 dio idea, nothing will!

Cheers!

Oh yeah, love that movie. When the 1/35th Hip comes out, I want to build a diorama of the scene where the Hip crew is delivering fuel to the T-55.

I always thought a big May Day dio would be cool, with about 10 T-55s in parade markings rumbling down the street. Easy dio, aside from building 10 T-55s!
Sounds like a good group project.
I like the idea from "The Beast."

Other than that, I'd suggest checking out all the pictures you can find of T-55s, and see what catches your eye.
