psyco house from the movie...

O.K.  hope you enjoy this... I have about 60 plus hours into it... the Polar lights kit of the Bates

house from the movie Psyco...I built up a hill from scratch using a foam base and cardboard,

covered with plaster cloth.....built the steps provided with the kit into the hill as I went..

the house was primed and painted, then weathered with weathering powders... the roof

is actually rough to the touch because of the weathering powders...window shades were

simply masking tape pieces to give an old look... you can jus see mrs. bates in the second

floor window if you look real closely... am waiting now for Polar lights to produce the motel

kit itself... or I'll have to scratch build one!  happy modeling!!

Nice work Stan!

Could you provide close-ups of the house itself? Others will appreciate it for weathering old buildings themselves.

Looks appropriately creepy.  Nicely done.

Mmm, yes, Janet Leigh.  There's a lot of compound curves there if you are going to scratchbuild her.......Devil

I like the house....ever thought about wiring it for lights ?
