Visit the Model Railroader forum, water is a popular layout project for the model RR guys. I think Kalmbach published a how to on the technique. I have some of their RR books. I'll look.

Hmm, this seems like something that is easy to screw up. I think I'll try to practice it a bit before going for the real dio. Thank you for the suggestion. Should I wait until the resin is almost completely set, or at any time?

you will need to tease the resin as it dries hard to get correct or pour it in small level so you can add a layer of paint to simulate the direction of the water.

cheers

Hi all,

I have some clear resin that I will be using to pour a water feature in a diorama. The feature will be a small river bank, and I want to know how to create ripples and a sense of movement in the water, as the resin naturally will set very level.
