Is it the recent Tamiya released kit?  Looks goog.  I would recommend you to tone down the gloss definitely because it is shiny.  Apply acrylic flat clear will help... you might need to apply two coats or more.  And don't hesitate to use thinned burnt umber around nuts & edges...

Yes this is the new tamiya release, I plan on doing the flat clear after the rest of the dio is finished,  What does the thinned burnt and umber do?

Your photos are a tad blurry... do you have a macro capability on your camera? Tripod?

Thanks,

Hello and greetings from Finnland!

You have a nice start here. Especially I like the way how men are positioned. It looks just like they have had contact with the enemy.

Basicly there is two things that bothers me. The green colour is bit too bright:

And the soldiers have wrong kind of armour. Those at your dio are germansWink

But still: nice start!

Unfortunately my camera is a HP photo smart.

Thank you Trabi, when you say armour do you mean by armament or the back straps that come around over your shoulders? Thank you for addresing the color i still need to out on a dull coat to lighten it out and weather it.

This might be because of the camera, but why is everything so glossy?

Looking good. Yes It will look alot better if you can apply a coat of flat clear acrylic.  It always worked to eliminte the shiny gloss.

Nice builds! You remind me of my old days when I built things myself. If this armor is the latest release from Tamiya then where are the logs?. How old is your HP Smart camera? I think it has focusing problem like my old Canon Powershot S2 IS. I got a new one last year, it's GE A1250 for about $99 and it's much better than the old one. The other week I tripped on my trouser and dropped it on hard surface (concrete). It survived with no scratch. If you'd buy a new one I'd recommend this one.
