Vietnam PACV's
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 10:41 AM
Hey everyone,

I'm very interested in modeling a Vietnam-era PACV (Patrol Air Cushion Vehicle) hovercraft. I've only found models in 1/285th & 1/87th scales. Does anyone know of larger scale (pref. 1/35th) kits or a source for plans/drawings? I'll also be posting this question in other forums.

Thanks in advance.

there is a spanish collection about modelism ("Modelismo Aplicado") with plans - drawings and how to do it article (scrath of course) for the PACV in Vietnam. Try "euromodelismo" at google, and look and the web for the specific number, so you can buy it from there

(the web is www.euromodelismo.com ??????)

If any problem about it you can send me a message, I´ll try to help you.

Good luck.

Good luck

Sorry, more details, go for www.euromodelismo.com , at the web go for "modelismo aplicado", and then for "carros", you will see the cover of the book of military vehicles with a big and beautiful 1/35 PACV like the one you want.

You can order only all the book (about 30 euros, more or less 30 dolars), but only about 20 pages are for PACV with scale plans, how to do it step by step and colour pictures and colours for painting (the rest of the book is outstanding too, plenty of tanks, how to do it step by step, etc...) .

If you some help about send me message, I buy long time ago all the book of military vehicles with the article about PACV....

Good luck boy...

Here is a kit in 1/24th.
http://www.hovercraftmodels.com/
It is $180 or get the RC version for $300.

These guys have one in 1/76 for $38 (resin?).

I have also seen a 1/35th scale resin kit advertised a couple of years ago but can't find anything on it now. Could have been a limited release.

csago,
Any chance you could scan or copy the pages from the book that pertain to the PACV. I would love a copy of them.
