No Sweat... If you do choose to go with tempera paints and you have acsess to Hobby Lobby, their tempera paints (pre-mixed) are the best deal, and usually are on sale for 30% off, or you can use the 40% coupons..

All you need is Red, Yellow, Blue, White, and Black.  You can mix any other color you want with those..  But I also grabbed bottles of brown and green anyway..

Keep in mind though, that tempera paints are water-soluable, even after they dry...

I wouldn't even prime it... Plaster that's being used to replicate concrete loses some its "look" if it's primed or painted with a shellac, IMHO...

I'd mix up a good "concrete-color" or "Camo" even, using tempera paint... It's cheap and easy thataway, and you can afford to lose the paint in the plaster's pores...  Takes more paint to paint plaster than it does styrene, metal, or wood, because it's so porous...

Seal plaster with a coat of thin shellac or lacquer, after that, macht nichts.

I would say prime and paint just like plastic.
