Sailing ship diorama
Posted by CoreTech on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 4:55 AM

hi y'all!
after me and my girlfriends largest argues in the entire relationship,i have decided to dedicate my H.M.S Victory to her,i thought just the main sails were boring,so i put stun sails on,i thought missing pieces was essential allthough she wouldn't notice they were missing,so i made new ones, and now: the ship standing on a black little holder seems boring,so i want to build a diorama and i have 2 versions i am considering:

HMS Victory going to war:
The victory is sailing towards battle leaving the harbour behind, whatever version im going to build im going to make a 18th century harbour building of some sort of balsa wood (or is it boxwood?) and clay so i thought i could intergrate this building in the diorama.

HMS Victory on the high seas:
The victory has come a little farther on her trip to the battle, and is completely surrounded by water.

Now my big trouble is,wich one of these? and how do i make water? as i have understood it,you use some kind of special acrylic colour, pour it around the ship and shape it while still not fully dried. i just need t confirm that theory, and guys, excuse my bad english!

Free advice:  Put the Victory on hold and patch things up with your girl friend.

Trust me.

the victory is not a way to try to resolve the problem, just a little token of appreciation. Patching has been going on for some while and is absolutely not going to be 2nd to a modelkit! :)

She is going to appreciate your Victory?  Unless I miss my guess, she will be much more appreciative of a dozen roses.
