What better way to make a bricks for on the model builts?

    I never thought of do with the paper and more cheaper, but I don't think it good idea?   What if the color of paper will fading away by many years later or something accident with water on the paper where bricks are... will lose a colors or spots?? I want my model will be still there in museum for long and longer after I was already dead! ha ha just kidding!

  I  already looking over some on the website that have kits for bricks..Much good idea and easy for me to but... I don't want to spending lot of money.  :(

      I like the idea of tape brick cut out and then lay on the wall and.... you know that I see on website.. but that will reused a tape after done!?

  I always want to do make more real and more details. I was found in the store that have a long, thin and small wood stick to cuts to made shape as the brick. I know it sound crazy to take millions to laying over the built and then painting it!! I hope it worth try and finish it and display for Museum!  :)

You will find a very easy brick technique.  It is a tape with brick cut-out that you apply to your wall that is painted the color of the joints.  You then apply a thin layer of a colored plaster-like substance over it.  Pull the tape off and you have perfect bricks and joints.

Check out Micro Mark. They have a lot of stuff that will help you and once you decide on scale you can stick with everything on that scale. Page 2 has the red bricks. The  Gatorfoam boads hold up real well and the brick paper goes easy on it.

You can use plastruct bricks, and they can give a very good result. You may also want to look at model railroad supplies...I've seen printed bricks with embossed mortar detail...I can't remember exactly where now though.

For the scale you are talking about, you need to start looking for dollhouse supplies.  I built a highly detailed dollhouse for my daughter a few years ago.  The dollhouse side of hobbies has as many accessories and aftermarket items as we do.

There are all sorts of other accessories that will work for you like ironwork, lights, etc.  Late 1800s - early 1900s is a popular time-frame for dollhouses, so you will find lots that will be useful.
