Fair enough, its your Dio and as long as your happy with it, thats the main thing.

I know this is a very old kit, i haven't built mine yet, but if i remember right there not a lot of detail. But from the out side, you have done a very good job. The areial wire looks a bit thick, have you used string for that. But apart form that, theres nothing to fault the build.

Same goes for the other items, i really like the truck. Its a real shame about that set, i think Academy missed a trick there, especially with the bomb loader which i haven't found any where else.

Bish, you are correct it was a Hasegawa Kit. I did mix and match the decals, i wasnt too concered for the historical authenticity with the colors/decals etc. I just did what i thought would look best =) Thanks for letting me know though. My main concern is quality! what do you guys think of the finish to the models? any improvements i could touch up on.

I like the layout of the dio very much, and it is deffinatly trelling a story. There is one issue with the Dio ityself that i can see. Given that the 88 is engageing enemy aircraft, those guys around the plane look rather relaxed.

There are some major issues with accuracy, which i am sorry, but to me, given this is a Dio depicting a scene, is important.

The markings on the 109, the cross behind the cockpit is for JG 27, the ace of spades is JG 53. Would i be right in saying this is the old Hase G-6 kit. This particular White 9 belonged to JG 27 and was based in Greece, so the trees would be out of place. It also had a white tail and the JG 27 marking was on the nose, and there was another marking under the cockpit. Or is this another kit and you have taken various decals to put on it.

The markings on the 88 are for the GD Pz Div, thats the helmit, and the 1st SS Pz Corps, so these would not be on an air force gun. The final thing i have noticed is the fuel truck. This is the Academy kit correct. Its a real shame they out this truck in with this set, a different fuel truck would have made the set far more useful. The truck you have used is for a very specific fuel type, which was not used on piston engined aircraft.

I agree, there is a lot of interesting stuff going on to look at.  Once again I have to really hand it to you guys who attempt these dios, nothing that I could do.  I think the plane, 88, figures and the field surface all look really good .  The only things I might note is the wood structures might use more contrast and flat to the surface.   I would imagine the trees are always a tough act (especially evergreens) to get to look real.  If not with a dusting of snow perhaps some brownish hi-light, heck I don't know, that's why I don't do dios!
