Also would dragons, sturmboat with the pioneer's have been used for such an operation, or would this have been tossed around before hitting a beach

Thank you, I am going to buy the book Invasion!, Also, the barge's that Verlinden makes, would those be big enough to be "infantry landing craft" from the pictures they look to small to carry vehicles, maybe a few modifications but still it looks kind of small.

Google "Operation Seelowe" there was a book published in the '70's

The LWS was designed for this type of amphibious assault, so could work.

I remember seeing photos of barges converted to carry tanks,  but having spent time on the coast around Dover & the wash,  I doubt that a rubber dingy would stand up to the weather.

sounds interesting, so good luck

German Amphibious landing diorama help

Hi all, I want to make an operation sea lion diorama, my question is, would the Land wasser scheppler have towed barges to the beach? I am considering buying the LWS and the Verlinden barge. This idea is new to me and I would like to hear peoples takes on it.  If not I wanted to use the old dragoon pioneer boats as landing craft hitting the beach and have the DML infantry kit of the figures cutting through wire in greece, on the beach. Still not sure on the diorama.

Please input would be great !!!
