I'd like to comment a little on the last, because it made a big impression on me at the time.

In Hue the marines were in T-shirts with M69 body armor vests, I suppose because of the heat, They had camouflage helmet covers, and did not have packs on in the pictures I've seen. If I were to build a dio of that battle, it would involve more architecture of that holy city, and a greater sense of being trapped.

Model Maniac - you need better photos of your "arrivals". The first two vignettes by "Joh" are not so good - they just don't look realistic. The SEAL vignette is the worst, because of the foliage, it tends to look really bad. The third, by "pj" - is inaccurate historically, but I like the painting of the figures a lot. Very nice shading and realistic faces - compliments! Good luck widening your collection, have a nice day

bondoman, Thanks for your kind comments. The last one was named by its maker "Legend".

More Hue 1968 vignettes and figures from Legend and Bravo are on their way.

Pawel, You're right, photo quality of this page is not satisfactory. There're many blurred photos.

I think I'll use another, older digital camera for the coming page. Though only 5.1Mpixels, it has

bigger, better lenses. As for the foliage, I understand that it's hard to make them realistic and

"Joh" has tried his best. Thanks for your kind comments on PJ's work. My display space status is

now near critical with only a few empty shelves remaining for 500+ unbuilt kits. Have a nice day

and please stay tuned. I'll come back in 24 hrs and post 6 new armors in Armor Forum.

Cuz that's how the box art is painted,

Now gennulman - maybe those jeans are a little too blue, but I read many SEALs preferred stateside jeans to the utility pants, because the jeans were sturdier, didn't rip as easy. The jeans would probably be camouflaged with liberal quantities of dirt and maybe also with some black spray paint.

Model Maniac - about the foliage again - you see what bothers the most, is that the plants grow out of a very clean ground - no small plants, no fallen leaves. One could quite easily correct that by covering the dio base with some "fuzz" like mixture of static grass, small green sponge chunks and painted sawdust. It's also a nice ttrick to paint the plants with the same paints the figures are painted, it helps to convey the impression of camouflage. Could you please tell that to Joh, give him a chance for his best to become even better!

I know the "display space" problem too, although on a smaller scale - good luck finding a solution, have a nice day
