Wallpaper- a sticky subject
Posted by Leddy on Friday, June 29, 2012 7:50 AM

I am puttting Verlinden wallpaper on a ceramic building wall.  What adhesive do you recommend to avoid "bleed through?"

Thanks,

Leddy

I would seal the wall first with some PVA glue like Elmer's and after it has dried, use the same glue to attatch the wall paper. I have used PVA on scale wall paper before with good results.

How long should the PVA glue cure before the wallpaper is glued and put on?  Should the wallpaper be lightly coated or done more heavily?

Thanks,

Leddy

Try using an Elmers glue stick

Just let the Elmers glue dry to the touch. When coating the wall paper you want a light coating so that it doesn't squeeze out everywhere and make a mess. Print out some wall paper from a doll house web-site and practice a bit before you do it on your expensive Verlinden product.
