Updating the pillbox
Posted by Bodge on Saturday, June 30, 2012 4:40 PM

Hi guys, some of you will remember this dio in its original stage but i have recently stripped everything off it and redone the whole thing so to bring it up to my current skill level. Original y done 8 years ago this was my first show winner at the first model show i went to so it has sentimental feelings attached to it. It spurred me along in the hobby. Anyway i have repainted and added a whole lot more foliage in the form of PE plants, made a tree for it and given the pillbox some streaks and washes. Still not finnished but boy i am enjoying this one and thats why i model.

Howdy! That's a beauty! Could you remind as what scale it is? But regardless, the foliage is great! Keep 'em comin', and have a nie day

Thanks. That new tree deffinatly looks better. It looked great to start with, but even better now. Are you planning on putting the same troops and vehicle back in, or something else.

Who sez you have to include figures to make dioramas look real? Mighty fine work here.

I love it! Where was the foliage from? The ferns in particular are excellent.

Love this one.

The composition and realistic effect of the fauna and plants is spectacular.

Great work.

That is amazing ground work.  The variety in style, color, and textures really gives it a lifelike appearance.  Keep up the good work!
