Got you !

Here's another good oldie... A little 'diorama' depicting a plesiosaurus (a marine reptile from the earlier part of the Jurassic) catching a passing dimorphodon (a flying reptile)...

Both reptiles are sculpted out of Sculpey and Milliput over a metal wire frame. The wings of the pterosaur had to be thin, so I cut them out out of a can of Sprite, added the 'fingers' and bones with Milliput and covered them with a thin layer of wood glue.

The nominal wingspan of a dimorphodon was about 1.2 meter. The models were scaled at 1/15. Unfortunately, over my moves from England to the US and back to England, this particular model got lost... and this picture is all I've got left of it... Sad [:(] This model got a first prize in Brussels in 1996.

Man, I wish you had more photos of it! Great idea.

I love plesiosaurs. I am secretly hoping the Loch Ness monster not only exists, but is a plesiosaur.

Not holding my breath.

Got any other weird or obscure stuff in your back catalogue? Can't get enough of it.

I've got an scratchbuilt elasmosaurus somewhere in the loft, scaled at 1/35... I'll try to get some pics sometimes soon, Phroosh. I hope the Loch Ness monster is an elasmosaurus..!
