Best choice for 1/25 scale chains & fences?
Posted by Stephen_Social on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 11:39 AM

I've looked at a lot of options but I wondered what everyone likes to use for the following two items in 1/24 or 1/25 scale?

1) Lengths of chain

2) Chain link fencing

Thoughts?

Lengths of chain can be purchased from the lhs thru one of the railroad or shipmodel suppliers like Walthers or Bluejacket Shipcrafters.  For chain link fence you might be able to find wire or cloth screen of the right size at the hardware store or fabric store.

Costume jewery often as suitable sized and shaped chain links. Also check out the beading section in craftstores.

For chain link fenceing check out a product called tule (It is used for vales as stuff like that in sewing circles. It should be in the sewing section at Wally-world and stores of similar ilk.

dpty_dawg_ca is right on there. Just as one minor correction, tulle is spelled with two "L"s if you want to do a Google search.
