I've never even heard of the show, much less seen it but a terrific idea! And this is the first I've ever heard of modeling a hospital gown, of all things.

Horror flicks were never my cup of tea, but it caught my attention. I never seen this one, but you've done a fantastic job.

This just goes to show that one can make a dio from any thing that catches your eye. I'm just in the planning stages of doing a USAAF airbase in england in WW2. Yea, war flicks/stories are my cup of tea.

Good luck on yours

This may be the best dio idea I have seen in a long time and your execution is spot on so far!!! Awesome work!

Haven't seen it but from the screen cap you posted you nailed it!

Beautiful work and very clever!

Now you've got me thinking of how to do a dio out of one of my favorite horror films - 'Dog Soldiers'. Finding modern British infantry is easy, now a 1/35 werewolf might be slightly harder!

Really nice dio you did here! I like the way you managed to depict a scene from this movie in a scale scene. Great job with an eye for detail!

Rick is looking great in his gown.  Are you going to put hands coming out between the doors?

I got a little more done tonight working on the lighting. I used some small railroad lights and drilled holes in both ends of a clear styrene rod and then glued the lights in.

I put the figure in there to see how it may look when finished. I still have to do more work on the figure.

Thanks for looking and as always please leave a comment!

Hey Dirkpitt77 I may be bringing it to the 2013 nationals but that is a ways away. I don't know if I am going for sure yet.

Hey Airborne, will you be bringing this to the 2013 Nationals? I'm in Colorado where those are being held and I would love to see this in person.

Ish47guy - thank you for the nice comment. You should visit the dio forums more often there is always something cool going on over here!

pyrman64 - Thanks for reminding me about the Cafeteria sign. I made one on photoshop a while ago and I almost forgot to print it! That would have been bad!

I got a little more finished this week. I got a figure from Verlinden. It is the Academy figure which is just a naked guy. I needed to modify him a little to make it look like he was walking and I had to add a hospital gown to him. I cut his leg off and sanded it at an angle so it looked like he was walking. I also cut his arm in half and repositioned it to make him look a little more alive. I made the hospital gown out of tracing paper and made a mini pattern, cut it out and glued it on to him with white glue. The gown Rick wears in the show is a light blue with white and dark gray stripes so I had to paint that on with a fine brush. I looked back at a picture of the gown and I painted it a little to dark so I may have to give it a white wash to lighten it up a bit.

I also got the back wall glued down and added some more "stuff" to the ceiling.

I will try to post some more progress next weekend if I get any more done.

Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome!

That is looking great. Its nice to see it all coming together. One suggestion for all the floor debris would be to pour out some plaster thinly onto a shhet of plastic, then you can break it up and stick it in place. Keep posting please.

I don't watch the show (no time when you got youngsters) but this is VERY cool!  Well played, sir!
