Did in fact consult Mr. Dekkar Zimmerman at Hobbytown (shameless plug). We visited Caboose hobbies again in Denver Colorado and I found everything I needed, but his advice was peerless. I saw his diorama at our local train store in Colorado Springs and saw his interpretation of mining railroads here. It was a real eye opener. I think I will use his brand of diorama materials as well from MAUSWERX - http://www.mauswerx.com/maus%20tools.htm
I spoke to a few folks here at our local IPMS and some railroad chaps in remission and gained some useful insights into what is good and what is popular about dioramas so I think I am sorted for now.
Thanx for the reply, and I will definitely tone down the TK influence.
Cheers....Jeff
