Normandy or Anzio Beach Landing

A few years ago I found a good way to make a beach landing diorama which includes figures from DML, an Italeri DUKW and a Tamiya Amphibious Jeep along with other details.
First I coated a sheet of fiberboard with acylic caulking for the water, hobby sand for the beach and florist foam to build up the beach. All of this was painted with acrylics and given the look of the DUKW coming up onto the beach with the figures already in various poses in the sand. As my wife said it made her sea sick to view the diorama. These photos can be viewed on my Facebook page; "Hobbies in a Barn" as I can't seem to figure out how to upload to here at this time.
