Fw 190A-6
Posted by Bish on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 3:12 PM

Just finished this for the great Fw 190 GB. This is Academy's Fw 190A-6. It was a nice build. There is an issue with dimensions, its about 6mm to long. But this only became apparent when applying the nose decals.

Thanks for looking. All comments welcome.

Bish,

Sweet looking build.  I saw this over in Aircraft.  What kit are the figures from?

Russ

Preiser figures must make this 1/72 scale?

Looks great Bish, love the presentation. Nice job on the checkerboard as well, everything looks good from the pics.

Thanks, i am pretty pleased with it myself. Not as much as the Ju 87 i built before it, but then i have a spoft spot for Stuka's.

Really nice looking build, Bish.  Beautiful work on the motteling, and nice ground work.  The figures look excellent, and nicely posed.

Bish....dude.....that rocks!  How in the world can you make 1/72 look so darn good and detailed!?  I'm just going to send you my 1/72 kits to build for me!  Awesome build my friend!  Bow Down

Thanks guys. Eagle, i don't really know any different. I have been building 72nd aircraft sor about 30 years, so its all i know really. I know a lot of guys like the larger scale because of the detail, but 72nd kits can be just as detailed, you just have to look harder. Big Smile

But this is still my favorite build so far.

I don't like blowing my own trumpet and am always critical of my own work, but this Stuka is still my pride and joy.

When i got back to the hobby, i did find my eyes ached a bit trying to see the finer detail, which they hadn't before. But i bought one of those magnifing head bands and all is well again.

I have a few 32nd kits in the stash, when i finally get round to building one, it will be like the Land of the Giants.
