very nice work. how did you make the base?

Theo, thanks much for your kind compliments! As for the base, PJ the builder used styrofoam to form the base, it's very light.
Nice looking. I would suggest that you leave off the Germans however. Not sure what it adds to the scene, and seems kind of "World War 1".
But I think the figures look good and the subject is interesting.
Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
I think that looks great. Figures are awesome.
Can I ask what paint brands you use ?
Cheers Tiger1
GMorrison - thanks for your kind comments. But the Germans are part of the scene and the figure kit, maybe a bigger base and longer distance would help.
Tiger1, thanks! I know that PJ uses both Gunze paints and artist oil paints.
Great job on the figures, please let PJ know. But the machine gun is too much out in the open. It needs some kind of cover or protection. The scene looks like these Germans were out for a stroll and just happened upon a few Tommies who were sitting down to tea or something. It just doesn't work.
I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
Awesome work . I'm assuming 1/35 ?
subfixer - thanks for your kind comments and suggestions.
Raualduke - thanks for your kind words. Yes, this is 1:35 standard armor & diorama scale. I'd only tell scale only when it's not in this scale. ;)
