WWII Stalingrad Diorama 1/35

You asked for advice elsewhere so here goes,

The tank and anti tank gun are way too close. One or the other would have engaged at least a half mile out and one would be knocked out. You could get them that close IF the tank were coming into an ambush and the PaK 47 was down a side street/alley and had a side shot.

The structure on the left...what is it supposed to be? From its foot print, it looks too small for much of anything. A single layer of bricks without supports is not architecturally sound.

The same applies to the sand bags. A  single width of sand bags will easily fall over.

Unless you're depicting an engagement on a putting green, you should consider a more organic looking groundwork than wood. Even a thin layer of Celluclay will provide some natural looking earth on which you can use static grass, grass tufts, turf, fine ballast or any number of other products to produce a natural looking environment.

One critique that stands out to me- unforms. The Russians are in cold wether gear: greatcoats, padded jackets, etc. while the Germans are in warm weather gear with their sleeves rolled up for heat.. The two do not match for the same scene.

I'd turn the road around and have it going across the base rather than along the length with the tank following it. Have the AT gun and crew located in the building ruin, where the AT gun is now. Get rid of the sandbags altogether and add way more building rubble, even small wall sections of other buildings, and maybe even shorten the overall length of the base a little, and that would be a much better start. That's not to mention all the other details that need to be changed or added.

Thank you for the advice, I just wanna let you know it is scaled down and is a make-shift diorama. I am going to finish putting on turf and put more rubble and vegetation. Over time I plan to make it better, and the distance is scaled down because I don't have much room. I'm most likely going to replace the PAK 40 with a Hanomag Sdkfz251/1. And the building, I attempted to make up the structural supports using pieces of small chopstick like sticks painted brown. I will add more rubble, I promise. Also, the building can be anything you want it to be. A small shop, a wing of a small church, where the rest of the church isn't visible. I am also 13, without a hobby shop within 50 miles, so I buy my stuff online from scale hobbyist, and the sandbags, I will add more sandbags around them. I have more to spare, and this is my first 1/35 scale diorama, and I think it's decent. Like I said, I'm just not done yet. I have much I'm gonna work on. Thanks for the input though! :)

@JimNTENN I know. I just don't have any winter Germans yet. My mind didn't even cross that path though. And I'm most likely gonna use a Hanomag Sdkfz251/1 instead of the PAK 40.  At least the Germans with that set have their sleeves fully extended. I will fix it over time.
