Need help with accessories
Posted by Redruum on Friday, February 7, 2014 3:24 PM

Hiyah everyone. Im starting a large scale Diorama using some of my old McFarlane/Neca toys. They are extremely detailed figures and I think they would look great in the right scene. What Im struggling on, is finding accessories that match their 6inch height.  I.E. trees, trashcans, etc. etc.   Does anyone konw where I might find some?  Thank you inadvance.

I will not sacrifice the Enterprise. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And *I* will make them pay for what they've done."

6" is right around is close to 150mm (1/12 scale).  There isn't much in the way of accessories made in that scale.  Most you will have to scratch build.

great idea, I have a few of those figures and was thinking I'd do this someday too.

Yes, scratch building is your best option to make exactly what you want in your diorama. As Bronto describes, that is about 1/12 scale.

Various types of woody foliage from vacant lots or the garden can make trees if broken up correctly.

Cylindrical caps from laundry detergent or something can be trash cans etc.

There is a whole line of Doll house stuff in 1/12 scale. A lot of it looks Victorian era-ish but might be what you need.
