Best scale for this?
Posted by Redruum on Saturday, February 22, 2014 7:31 AM

While you cant see it now, this will turn into a large mountain side with a waterfall pouring of it at some point. What I want to do is have 2 gundams in the diorama. One standing next to the waterfalll with his hand out and water falling on it, and the other off to the side sitting down. I through a gaterade bottle in there for reference. My question is, what scale model would fit best here?  1/100 or 1/144. I have never bought or done a gundam model so I dont really know how big they are.

I will not sacrifice the Enterprise. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And *I* will make them pay for what they've done."

Cool idea! When it comes to Gundams, scale is everything. Consider this: the average scale of a mobile suit to its pilot means that the pilot is about the same height, standing up, as the head of the mobile suit.

1/144 th Gundams are approximately 5 inches (12 centimeters) tall, on average, and in 1/100 th are about 8 inches tall. I can't see the picture you posted, so you'll have to tell me which scale will work.

For reference, check out the Gundam wiki.
