I just saw some neat stuff at Michael's called Kinetic Sand. It looks just like sand but it's synthetic. It's not oily at all. It clumps together nicely and is comprised of individual small grains. The grains may still be a little too large for believable 1:35 scale sand, but the stuff is sand colored and clean.

I don't make it over to  this side often but need some suggestions. Gonna be doing a dio of a sunken Zero. What would you guys recommend to use for the sand/silt of the ocean floor?
