Working with scale
Posted by Nomad53 on Saturday, July 12, 2014 10:48 AM

Hello all.

I am wanting to get started on a dio but need to understand putting it into scale. I will be working with 1/35 figures. What I am trying to do is have a street with two buildings and six figures.

The problem is that I want sidewalks and some other items in the dio and I am not sure on the measurements of sidewalks and roads/streets of 1944. I have a scale convertor.

Maybe I am not giving enough information on this so please ask more specific questions and I will try to answer them.

Thanks,

I take it you are looking at making your own path and road. I would not get to concerned at getting the measurements exact, I am sure that there is no set standard as to how wide a path should be. As to roads, I also don't think these would be made to a set width. remember, most roads at that period had not been laid specifically for the motor vehicle.

Try and find some pics of the region you want your dio set in with something in it that you know the size of, a tank for example.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
