Iowa, is that the U.S. Army staff car in 1/48 by Tamiya? I have that model in my Amazon wish list since July of 2013, and its still there. I might order it now...good job on the weathering!

I used Alclad II's  Gloss Black as an undercoat, then applied their Chrome color paint, followed by their clear coat (called Aqua Gloss Clear)...one coat.  I am not brave enough to try Bare Metal Foil....Thanks for the nice compliment!

Great job! Did you use bare metal foil or paint?

This is my second plane dio; the first one I posted was the B-25. I have not modeled planes since fifth grade...so I had quite a learning curve.   As you can see,  I love to add drama to the scene by photographing the model with low light conditions in the background...suggesting night take-offs or landings.  The was a fun kit to build...and the staff car was a hoot to weather.  I masked and sprayed an  Alclad II chrome finish, as well as the U.S. green drab and red colors.  The yellow and green nose was achieved with decals...and what a nightmare to apply....even with Solveset.   Noch grass was applied with a Grassmaster II.   Hope you guys like it....but remember, I always am looking for suggestions and ways to improve a build...especially as I am totally new to plane diorama creation...thanks, again!        Robert
