in the past, what I"ve done is just pour plaster of paris or something similar to that, and just carve out the stones. Worked great for me. I"m sure there are easier ways out there though.

The lentils work pretty good. I am currently using the non skid pad for under carpet. It has that same pattern of cobblestone, can be cut to shape with a pair of scissors and then gone over with spackle or dry wall compound for the mortar between stones. Once painted, washed and drybrushed it looks pretty good. Sidwalks I take a piece of luan (1/8 - 1/4" plywwod, often sold as door skin) and glue it to the base. Cover it with compound and then scribe the detail. Lots of fun.

Yup, split peas or split lentils work great for cobblestone. Just glue them down, then fill in the joints with diluted white glue, Paint and weather. For curbs, you can pour plaster of paris into a form (just like the real thing) and then sand the edge over round to smooth it off.

I seem to remember somebody suggesting split peas or lentils for the cobblestones, though I don't remember the scale.

Verlinden and the other similar company probably make one. Pouring a slab out of plaster and scribing it would work. As for the curb, quarter round could be used for straight aways.
