Each square on an airfield tarmac is about 10' square. That comes to 2.5 inches in 1/48 scale.

Tarmac question

If I wanted to make a modern day Military style Tarmac for my model planes for a photo backdrop, how big would each square be, in real life and then in 1/48? Or should I just use my best judgement? Thanks
