..."around the corner..." Ver. 2

This diorama is nothing new. That's because it is a smaller version of the first diorama I built some years ago, which I dismantled because of unsatisfactory reasons. But, I wanted to do a smaller version of the previous one, but was not sure how I wanted it. So here is that same diorama with exception of the US figures. I wanted the attention to be on the opposite side.

I think I am satisfied with this version, although, I am sure there will be others who preferred the latter diorama to this. But no worries. To each, his own. BTW, I still have not improved on my figure painting as the figures have been left the same as on the previous diorama. Simply have not enough time to fully concentrate on that. So, I only, repainted certain parts of the figures and weathered them a little.

I was hesitant in showing this diorama due to the figures not being up to standard. But I have been busy with other Sci-FI projects lately. Anyhow, I hope you all like this version 2, regardless of the first. Thanks for your support and pepping me on my journey towards improvement. Small note. I had done more weathering after these photos were taken on the building.

Hey Tiking, don't sell yourself short man. I loved the previous diorama and I love this one. I wouldn't worry too much about the figures since the eye is drawn to the rest of the dio. And the truck, building, and just general 'busyiness' looks fantastic.

I love it. I believe I saw the first one as well? Did one of the figures originally have an RPG? Maybe that was a different one. Anyhow, did you scratch build the building? What about the signs, manhole covers and trash? Did you make the trash bag>? I'm still trying to figure out good sources for these type of items, I only did one Diorama thus far, but really enjoyed it and want to do more! Looks spot on for anywhere in the "GWOT" I have seen.... Rudy

Hi and thanks. I think the one with an RPG was someone else's. The building was scratchbuilt using posterboard. The manhole is from a company I do not recall. I will find out for you and get back. The signs I made myself. Well. Not so exactly. I got the pics of the internet and scaled them down using photoshop and printed them out. The trash on the streets  i did myself. I just took various paper cut into small pieces and glued them down with white glue. The trash bag was made using crumbled up small pieces of paper and placed them into a small piece of cellophane plastic. Then took a thread and tied the four ends together. Then took black paint and sprayed the whole thing.
