Sd.Kfz. 251/4 Ausf C Greece 1943

Finished my latest dio at the weekend and thought i would post some pics here. This is the AFV Club 1/35th Sd.Kfz. 241/4 & 10.5cm leFH18/40. I added 2 Eduard PE sets, one for the guna nd one for the halftrack and the HT also has a set of Quickwheel resin wheels. The figures are all from 2 Trumpeter sets.

The vehicle depicted is from the 1st Pz Div which was deployed to Greece in the summer of 1943 aftet the Germans had been convinced that the Allies would be landing there. This of course was due to a deception carried out by the British and the landings actually took place in Sicily. So the scene depicts the crews conducting live fire training as part of anti invasion drills for an invasion which never happened.

Thanks for looking.

Once again Bish beautifully rendered and in a theatre not often depicted.

Very well done. Somehow the subtleties of the scene project a simple moment in time that is part of a more complex story. I really felt like there is more going on if one was able to zoom out and look at the bigger picture. Keep up the excellent work and thanks for sharing.

Very well done Bish. I like this diorama. In your thread you said it was a training exercise so it looks like a "hip shoot". Reminds me of my days in the Corps.
