which company makes the best static grass? i am making a base with a panther on it and i would like some feedback on the quality of some of the grasses out there. also, how would you put tall grass in? could you make a small hole with a needle in the base and put some tall grass in it?
thanks.

Woodland Scenics makes a good product. Static grass is pretty much static grass. WS offers several colors and lengths(for short grasses)

Silflor grass is a mat of grass measuring 12"x19" and is essentially a "field of tall grass" and comes in several colors. costs about $30-35. You cut it to shape and apply it. Available from Scenic Express, 1001 Lowry Avenue, Jeanette PA 15644

Tall gras can also be made form cisal rope or hemp rope or twine that is unraveled and trimmed to the desired lengths. Poke a hole, drop of glue and insert the clump of grass.

WS do a series of packs of long grass in a variety of colours.

You just cut it to length, bunch it up, and insert into predrilled holes with some glue in the bottom to hold it all in.

dunno if this would work but i always thought that the brussels on a fairly large paint brush would make nice long grass if u drilld very small holes rondomly and glued little bunches in together it might look good just an idea

Redneck that the cheap method, as sure large cheap paint brushes work out cheaper than WS' product!
