Rolife Greenhouse.
Posted by PatW on Sunday, April 28, 2024 9:44 AM

Having built a greenhouse for my wife just ten years ago, she wants me to build another but a shade smaller! But this one won't be growing real tomatoes/cucumbers/chillies/flowers or peppers, just scale model versions!

My wife did that kit.  The "glass" is difficult to work with.  Otherwise, she loved it.

Thanks,

John

I've seen this kit and others in stores - I wondered how they feel to work with, looking forwart to see you building it - plus it's your scale anyway, isn't it Pat?

Good luck with it and have a nice day

Paweł

An interesting product.  I wonder how much modeling horsepower is required to build one?  Some of these craft projects can demand unreasonable skill from the casual customer.

As a modeler, it intrigues me.  All I can think is "Little Shop of Horrors".  Stick out tongue

There's a lot of assembly of things like flowers where you have to cut out and roll pre-printed paper into a rose for example then glue the stem and cutout and glue leaves.  My wife enjoys it.

Thanks,

John

Aha! Real G:

Don't look at them that way. My landlady(Ladyfriend) built that. I showed her how to replace the plastic they give you with the clear plastic fronts from C.D. cases.

She does Stained Glass for a hobby but she did alright on the flowers and stuff. In return, My 81st is oncoming. Guess what she gave me for an early gift? They have a camper kit that is lighted. So she saw the one I was building in plastic and said to herself("Self, Why Not") so she gave me the kit early. It's a jewel.

They are a nice break from what we usually find ourselves doing! I like to build on the side,  Dollhouse furniture, Improving on it as I build. I give the finishes pieces away. It's just fun too! Oh! also Dollhouse and Train scale gazebos! I love building those as a break too

I have used sprue to build them for S*&^S and Giggles!

Ohhh that looks so cool Pat! If you build it I hope you'll post the finished model here!

John: Ohhh, that looks so good!

Real G: Ummm, why was I expecting you'd go there- 'FEED ME SEYMOUR!!!!'

Well keavdog, that looks amazing! Very inspirational, so I've got a lot to live up to.

I completed the Greenhouse door today. A few problems during the build were: finding that the 'glass' was too small lengthways and opaque, plus the clear glue supplied has hardened slightly so difficult to get out of the squeezy bottle. So taking the top off and using cocktail stick to lift it out. I collect clear plastic retail packaging so easy to measure and cut.
