Wild Flowers
Posted by rebelreenactor on Friday, April 30, 2004 5:05 PM
hi there, I'm building a diorama which will be a field of woodland scenics Tall grass stuff. I would like to add wild flowers to the weeds so i picked up some WS stuff. Only problem with that is the floweres are all attatched to a mossy thing as you are supposed to cut it, of lay it on flat ground.
Anyone have any ideas on how to make 1/35 wild flowers, or betteryet aplly the WS stuff.
Thanks
John

Go to a craft store and look through their dried flowers selection. Look at the shapes of the smallest portion of each flower cluster, especially things like Baby's Breath that have dozens of very small flowers on each branch. Also look to see if individual pieces from some of these flowers could be used removed from the stems or broken into smaller bits and reassembled. Obviously you need not worry about the hideous colors they will be in, since you will repaint them anyway. Outside of that, you will probably need to resort to cutting out individual flowers from paper and making them yourself. Sounds pretty tedious, doesn't it? Good Luck!
