Woodland scenics - what do you use for what
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, May 3, 2004 7:00 PM
Hey guys,
question here: what 'stuff' of woodland scenics do you use for what? like for example, just plain old grass, what stuff is the best to use? or for a dirt road or gravel/concrete area. i'm just starting to make a few stands for a few of my models, just want some grass, maybe a little walk way or something....and there's so much out there, i'm not sure where to start as far as what to buy.
also, what's the best to use as a concrete tarmac area, maybe if i cut a base in half....half grass, half runway or so.............any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

So I've used WS' static grass, their foliage for trees and bushes, and a couple of different grades of flocking for ground covering. Everything I've tried has worked out really well, I would highly recomend WS products.

I've used their woodland high plains grass packs. Works good for the steppes of Russia for WW2 eastern front dios.... you might be able to get away with foamboard squares painted gray with oil stains and the joint cauking for your tarmac-never tried it...
