Hello,
i have some model ships that i would like to display on some marbel bases. I was woundering how to display them on the base and having them raised off the base. Dose anyone have any suggetions?

Lamp finials. They hold the lamp shade on, they usually have on end drilled and threaded; you can drill and thred the other end or find some that have both ends threaded. Drilling holes thru marbel might be the trickey part. Put the ships in water. Get acrylic gel at the art store, glue the ship to the base then sculpt the gel around it. Make waves, then paint. There's lots of threads in ships, this forum and tools tequineques. Good luck.............. G.L.
